Somewhere I Belong, chapter 25 teaser

“What do you want?” I asked, wanting to get this over with as fast as possible.

“What do I want?” she asked with disdain in her voice. “What I want…no, what I expect is for you to march your ungrateful self into your father and beg him for your forgiveness for how you’ve ruined this election for him. You did you know. You cost him this election.”

Before I could get a word out she began again.

“And for what? A roll in the hay with one of them?” She pointed towards the door Edward had gone through. “You should be ashamed.”

“I’ve done nothing to be ashamed of and nothing that I need to apologize for,” I replied with confidence, standing straighter despite my aching feet. I wasn’t the even the slightest bit ashamed of my relationship with Edward, what we shared was amazing, and I refused to let her get to me.

She moved to stand directly in front of me.

“Go ahead,” I told her. I was getting pissed. I was tired of this crap from her.
“You can say whatever you want to me, but all you’ll be doing is wasting your breath. There isn’t a  damn thing you can say to make me ever apologize to you. If anyone owes anyone an apology, it’s you who owes me one.”

******

Looks like Renee is up to her same old crap. How will Bella react this time? SIB chapter 25 will be up soon. I can't wait to share it with you.

Somewhere I Belong chapter 22, Teaser

“Mmm, good morning,” she whispered as she rolled over to face me.

Somehow when she’d shifted her position her breast slid under the palm of my hand. Bella froze and her eyes shot to mine. I moved to pull my hand away from her but she grabbed my wrist and held it in place.

“It’s okay,” she said softly leaving me frozen this time. “You can touch me.”

I didn’t know what to say. What to do. So I did nothing.
Bella removed her hand from my wrist and placed it behind my head. She then pulled me down to her and kissed me softly before gazing up at me.

All sense of restraint left me. As she rolled back a little, I pressed her under me into the mattress as I covered her lips with mine and kissed her with all the passion that was surging through me.

Bella responded instantly with equal fervor, hitching her leg up around mine and pushing up against me. The urge to grind against her was overwhelming.

Is just me or is it getting warm in here?  See you all soon with the full chapter!!

SIB chapter 21 teaser.

“So how’d you do it, Cullen? You sweet talk her? Fill her head with smooth words? I’m just dying to know how you reeled her back in so quickly.”

I didn’t have to turn around to know whose smart assed remarks those were. The sound of Luke’s voice grated on my nerves like the screeching sound of a fork being purposely scrapped across a plate.

Despite wanting to turn around and clock him in the jaw in retaliation of his punch to mine the other night, I wasn’t going to start a scene or give him the satisfaction of knowing he could get to me. Besides it didn’t matter now that Bella and I were back on track. Luke could say whatever the hell he wanted as far as I was concerned. Nothing could ruin my mood today.

“Not that it’s any of your business, Mathews, I told her the truth,” I replied calmly, keeping my cool as I turned and came face to face with him on my way back to the table where Bella and I were sitting.

“So you told her what an ass you are and how you don’t deserve her? I find that hard to believe. I’m betting your version of the truth greatly differs from the real truth,” Luke rebuked as I moved past him.

“Look, I don’t owe you any answers or justification for what I’ve said or done. The only person who I owe any sort of explanation to, has been given one and she’s happy with what she’s been told and more importantly believes it as the truth, because that’s exactly what it is. If that’s not enough for you, Mathews…then I encourage you to ask her yourself. I doubt she’ll tell you much more than I have.”

“Ask and tell who what?” Bella questioned.

SIB chapter 19, teaser and some music for your ears.

Hi,  everyone. I hope you had a great weekend. I've gotten a few inquiries about the song I mentioned in my author's note for the last chapter.

The song is Words by Skylar Grey and here's a link to it on You Tube.

And here is a teaser for the next chapter of Somewhere I Belong.

“Good morning, Bright Eyes,” he said in the same dreamy tone he had when waking me up back in the DR. And just like it had then, it made me feel all warm and tingly inside now.

“Mmm, morning,” I returned, trying to sound more awake than I had before.

“You were still sleeping,” he replied, regretfully.

“Mmmhmm,” I responded, followed by a long yawn.

“I’m sorry I woke you. I waited as long as I could force myself to. Do you want me to call you later so you can go back to sleep?” he asked sounding adorably flustered. His voice held a hint of sorrow for waking me, but was also filled with excitement to talk to me.

“No.It’s okay. I’m glad you called. What time is it?” I fought off another yawn and rubbed my eyes in an effort to rouse myself further.

“Almost eleven.”

“Wow. I can’t believe I slept so late.”

“Still not a morning person, I see,” he teased.

“Nope.”

“Hmm,” he sighed. “You know nurses have to pull all kinds of weird hours sometimes, Miss Swan.” His voice had taken on a more serious tone, but I could practically hear him fighting the smirk on his face with his next comment.  “Sure you can hack it?”

“Better than you can shoot a basketball,” I shot back at him, loving the fun banter we had going on. It reminded me of the plane and bus rides when we’d first met. I had missed it—him so much.

“Are you doubting my skills on the court again?”

“Yup.”

“Well I’m just going to have to show you then.”

My heart sped up in excitement and desire over the thought of watching him shoot hoops. Pulling my ‘e’ pillow to my chest and smiling widely once again, I accepted his offer. “I’m holding you to that. But just so you know, I wasn’t impressed with what I saw last night. You are going to have to knock my socks off to prove it.”

“I accept your challenge, Miss Swan, and will prove my skills later, but for now let’s get to why I called.”

See you soon with the full chapter. Thanks for reading,
